jobs

freelance | data analyst | 2017-present

Freelance consulting allows me to put my business hypothesis to the test: I believe the digital world is governed by algorithms, just as human nature is largely governed by heuristics—& theory-crafting applies equally to both. & now, my first client’s performance: 548% QOQ AdSense, 168% YOY follower & 846% engagement growth.

arcatax | strategy director | 2019-2020

Modeled & launched over 20 new products with over 10 companies. Utilized statistical methods including situational analysis, sensitivity analysis, regression analysis, and Monte Carlo simulations to grant greater certainty to uncertain projections.

Kovel/Fuller | Account manager | 2016-2018

At Kovel/Fuller, I worked hand-in-hand with the Yokohama Tire Corporation Marketing, Sales & Product Planning Departments to develop their North American marketing plan. From research & analysis to strategy & execution, I was the face of the agency to the client & the face of the client to the agency. Passionate about everything client, I quickly became the go-to technical resource & de facto copywriter. During my tenure, the agency won social media & public relations, effectively neutering the rival agency & growing billables by over $1.5m per annum.

Creative Matters agency | Account Manager | 2014-2016

The charitable clientele of Creative Matters presented a unique set of challenges & opportunities with their spend minuscule but story impactful. So, identifying low-hanging fruit & efficiently communicating a refined, simple message became a daily routine. Without a megaphone, creative solutions weren’t just needed, they were required.

ExpiTrans | Account manager | 2013

Small business financing is an ultra-competitive market. With a consistent onslaught of scalpers and client distractions, my offerings had to stay on the leading edge of the industry in order to carve out and maintain the client's business. Every product/service/strategy was perpetually optimized for peak performance. Reacting was far too slow—predicting the market and clients' needs was required. This approach consistently exceeded client goals and expectations.

Civinomics | digital content marketing Intern  | 2013

In the startup environment of Civinomics, passion & sharp wits won the day. Here, I conducted, analyzed & reported A/B & user-experience tests. This fast-paced team shot from the hip & adapted on the fly. Experiencing the inner workings of a tech startup first-hand instilled a willingness in me to sacrifice what I am for what I will become.

Santa cruz Volunteer Center | marketing Intern | 2012

On day one, I was given the Google Analytics credentials & instructed to create value, & with zero experience in GA, I went to work. I learned to learn on the fly: defining goals, tracking conversions & creating ad-hoc reports—a true lesson in autonomy.

schools

cal poly humboldt | mba  | 2020-2021

While attending CalPoly, I honed my analytical skillset while developing a deep knowledge of how business can function as a force for good, environmentally, sustainably, & socially.

University of California Santa Cruz | BA Economics  | 2008-2012

At UCSC, my studies wed behavioral economics & econometrics: the art of combining statistical analysis with human insight to create business advantage. This is what I bring to the table everywhere I go.

IMG Academies | USa National Soccer Team | 2005-2007

My late father once told me, all men are created equal; some just work harder in the preseason. At 14 years old, I was recruited to train with the Under 17 US National Soccer Team, because I worked harder, longer & smarter than the competition—some things never change.
